Biannah Peji-Palm

Biannah was first trained at the Halili-Cruz School of Ballet in Quezon City, Philippines. She performed, competed, and represented the dance school and the country in local and international events such as Dance Exchange (Cebu, PH), the Asia-Pacific Dance Competition (SG & TH), and Dance Excellence (CA, USA). Once she graduated high school, she joined a non-profit performing arts group called the Young Americans that is based in Corona, CA where she performed and taught music and dance around Germany, Japan, and the USA. After two and a half years, she decided to pursue her college degree at Midland University. This is her first year with the Midland Dance Program, and she is so excited to share her love and passion for storytelling through dance.

Shaffrea Hopson 

Shaffrea was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and raised in Olathe, Kansas. She began dancing at the age of 6 training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, modern and lyrical/contemporary. After studying these skills, she was given the chance to teach younger children at her studio. Her dance journey has consisted of teaching at multiple studios, choreographing for shows, and choreographing for master classes. Many of her joys come from working with people and showing her love for dance.  Her attendance at workshops and conventions has furthered her knowledge and reach in the dance world. She studied at Alvin Ailey Dance Theater for 5 weeks to increase her skill level. Her biggest passion is to share her love for dance and inspire others to join her.

Samantha Hoskinson

Sammi Hoskinson was born and raised in Oklahoma and has been dancing since the age of two. She has been in competitive dance since she was four. Along with being on her middle school and high school pom team, Sammi also did studio dance. During her time at Midland she has been a part of the four-time national champion Wildfire Competition Team. She began teaching dance at the age of 16 and has been perusing her dance teaching interests ever since. Her favorite styles to teach are jazz and tap. She is also working on her degree in Arts Management to become a studio owner.

Cassidy Rohs

Cassidy Rohs grew up dancing at Nebraska Dance in Omaha, NE. During her 16 years of dancing, she has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, pom, hip hop, and many more. She has also enjoyed taking her dancing skills to the theater world by participating in multiple musicals throughout her high school and college careers. Her proudest moment was winning the NAIA National Championship with Midland’s Warrior Wildfire team in 2017. Returning for her second year on Premier, Cassidy can’t wait to once again share her passion and love for dance.

Ty Hecker

Ty is a senior business student at Midland University.  He went on to be a part of the David City High School dance team and eventually auditioned for the Midland University Dance Team.  Ty is an NAIA dance national champion and a two time NAIA All-American honorable mention.  He has taught and choreographed many high school competition routines, as well as, taught at Wahoo Dance Academy. He is excited to continue his dance career with the Premier Dance Company and share his love and passion for dance. 

Stacie Sides

Stacie is from Colorado Springs, CO and started training when she was eight years old in Ballet. She danced for 11 years competitively in Colorado before she joined the Young Americans in 2013 and relocated to LA to continue her performance training. While with the Young American's, Stacie performed in many professional shows and traveled to 20 different countries performing and teaching music and dance in all styles. Stacie transferred to Midland University last year to earn a degree in Secondary Education while continuing to develop her passion and skill in dance. 

Meet the Dancers


Our goal as the collegiate Premier Dance Company at Midland University is to create an environment where dancers of all levels and styles can feel welcome. We want to construct classes that inspire dancers to lead with intensity and develop strong interpersonal skills. We aim to teach students the rigor it takes to be a collegiate dancer all while presenting new and innovative choreography.  We not only strive to teach dance technique but also instill a passion and self-motivation for excellence for what we all love to do, which is DANCE.



We are happy to provide a flexible schedule format for our workshops and classes. As a host of the Midland University Premier Dance Company, you have the power to select your own experience through a variety of dance styles and techniques. You can choose from any of the classes on our catalog to fill either a one hour, two hour, or three hour instructional time block.
